the attempted execution of the bastard, desire
The Attempted Execution of the Bastard, Desire is an installation inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, Duchamp’s The Bride Stripped Bare of Her Bachelor’s, Even and margaritas at the Latin American. The Large Glass (as it is also called) is a schematic of sorts where all the mechanical bits (fate, chance, desire) are working at the same time, feeding off of one another as the bride and her bachelor's engage in amorous pursuits. Bastard, Desire employs an old window, a bed sheet, a fan, a projector, and digital photographs. The final image in the collection explicates our intentions.
