Library Experiment: 149, 302 & 912 is a collection of portraits via language, composition and 
category. when two people come together willing to engage authentically with one another, the interaction is ripe with connection, with the unspoken, with the burden and blessing of the histories they carry on their backs. we bring our complicated selves to the great social table. this project seeks to explicate individual and interaction by way of the dewey decimal system.

the directive, for those who choose to play, is to create a portrait using dewey decimal categories. the portrait can be of yourself, of someone else, or of the relationship between two people. i confess, this is an act of simplification. the format considers composition, scale & relevant dewey decimal numbers.
